About My Practice
I am passionate about providing a compassionate and supportive space where clients can explore their challenges and find pathways to healing. In my practice, clients can expect to feel heard, understood, and supported in a safe and non-judgmental space. I prioritize authenticity in my therapeutic relationships, allowing clients to take the lead in their healing journey while providing guidance and strategies tailored to their unique needs.
Who I Work With
I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, adults at various life stages, and couples, offering a collaborative and strengths-based approach to therapy.
Professional Experience
Much of my counseling experience comes from working with an Indigenous-led organization, where I focused on DBT skills training and one-on-one low-barrier counseling. This work deepened my commitment to making therapy accessible, inclusive, and empowering for those seeking support.
Finding my Why
My journey to becoming a therapist was deeply personal. During the peak of COVID-19, I was preparing for the LSAT, set on attending law school. The pressure I placed on myself led to an anxiety disorder diagnosis, and I found solace in therapy. My counsellor became a beacon of hope, equipping me with tools that changed my life. Inspired by that experience, I chose to shift paths and become a therapist myself—so that I, too, could offer that same hope to others on their journey.
Therapeutic Approach
My practice is grounded in Satir Family Systems Theory, using a client-centered approach and incorporating evidence-based techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness to foster self-awareness, emotional regulation, and personal growth.
